Dr Catherine Duffour

After completing my medical studies at L'UNIL (Université de Lausanne) in 2002, I worked as a medical assistant in neurology, neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation, before training in psychiatry.

For 7 and a half years, I held various positions in psychiatric hospitals and outpatient clinics, treating patients with all kinds of pathologies, ranging from mood disorders (e.g. depression, bipolar disorders) to schizophrenia and addiction problems (alcohol, drugs, etc.). I have also worked in a medical expertise center and as a consultant psychiatrist at the CHUV in Lausanne.

For 3 and a half years, I was deputy head of clinic and then head of clinic. At the end of my post-graduate training, I was awarded the title of Specialist FMH in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. Throughout my training as a psychiatrist, I specialized in couple and family therapy (in Lausanne, Neuchâtel and Geneva), obtaining the Diplôme de formation continue (DAS) en thérapie de famille (HUG, 2006-2009), and then in sexology, including the Certificate course "Les approches systémiques de la sexualité" (Relance Relationnelle, 2011).

As a member of the Swiss Society of Sexology, I belong to the sexologists SSS. I work according to the systemic psychotherapeutic approach, hold the diploma of Systemic and Family Therapist ASTHEFIS (Swiss Association of Family Therapy and Systemic Interventions) and am a full member of EFTA (European Family Therapy Association). At the end of 2012, UNIL awarded me my Doctorate in Medicine.

In addition to my work as an independent psychiatrist, I spent several years as a clinical consultant for the medical department of the CHUV.

In recent years, hypnosis has become part of my clinical practice (training with IRHYS, Institut Romand d'Hypnose Suisse).

The practice offers various professional meetings and discussion groups:

- Colloques for sexology specialists in French-speaking Switzerland. Dates: every 4-6 weeks.
- Les Caméléons: discussion group for high intellectual potential. Dates: every 1st Monday and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
- Les Diamants mandarins: discussion group for parents.

Dza-Lan Chautems

After graduating from l'UniGE (University of Geneva) in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree (equivalent to the current Master's degree) in clinical psychology, followed by a Diploma in psychology in 2007, I trained in systemically-oriented intervention and therapy at Cerfasy (Centre de Recherches Familiales et Systémiques) in Neuchâtel.

My career path led me to work in the outpatient psychiatric department of the Bernese Jura - Biel-Seeland region and at the Consultation psychothérapeutique pour Migrants at Appartenances, as well as supporting adolescents and young adults in the Lausanne region in their educational and professional integration projects. After several years of therapeutic experience, I obtained the title of specialist FSP (Fédération Suisse des Psychologues) in systemic psychotherapy.
