Favarger Dinah (Chêne-Bourg)

Dinah Favarger, Psychologist specializing in psychotherapy FSP, Psychotherapist ASP, Psychotherapist PCA.ACP, Trainer and Supervisor PCA.ACP.

Born and educated in Zurich, with professional training in the UK and Geneva, she is fluent in French, English and German (as well as Swiss German), which are also her working languages.

It was during her training at the University of Geneva that she first heard of the Person-Centred Approach (PCA) according to Carl R. Rogers. Rogers: therapeutic work with the certainty of never being judged seemed incredible.

The decision was quickly made: this would be the Person-Centred Approach she would train and work in.

She trained as both an adult therapist and a child and adolescent therapist, completing her training almost 20 years ago. She then trained as a trainer and supervisor in the Person-Centered Approach.

In addition, her thirst for self-improvement and her passion for this work led her to continue her training: in Moreno psychodrama, systemic therapy, couple therapy, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and ICV (Life Cycle Integration), EMDR and, in general, in therapeutic work with victims of violence. She is keen to integrate these different therapeutic approaches into her work, according to what is best suited to the situation; at the core is always the CPA, with its vision of the human being and an attitude of absolute non-judgment on the part of the therapist.

Today, she works as a psychotherapist in private practice in Chêne-Bourg/Geneva, and also as a trainer for PCA.ACP (Association Suisse pour l'Approche et la Thérapie Centrées sur la Personne) and as a trainer and consultant outside PCA.ACP.
