Working style & attitude

I see my task as a psychotherapist in supporting those affected in a crisis situation to the extent that they can recognize and activate their own resources in order to find their own way out of the crisis.

My work is based on behavioral therapy with a systemic perspective. It is my concern to include the environment of the affected person, especially in the case of children and adolescents, the (family) relatives. The introduction of family rituals or reward systems has proven to be a particularly successful method.

The teaching of various relaxation techniques, which can be used in anxiety- or stress-inducing situations, are also central components of my work.

Competence & Experience

Master's degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Bern, further training at the University of Fribourg in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a focus on children and adolescents, recognized by the Federation of Swiss Psychologists (FSP).

Long-term professional experience in various institutions:

psychology assistant at the Children's Hospital (University Hospital Bern) in the departments for developmental disorders and psychosomatics, research department of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (UPD), Child Psychiatry Neuhaus (Bern), school psychologist in Zofingen, therapist and counselor at the Victim Assistance Center.

Since 1998 I am independently practicing psychotherapist with my own practice, as well as in a delegate relationship in various practices of pediatricians, psychiatrists and physicians.

By always new continuing education I keep myself permanently up to date.

Recognition

I have the recognition by the disability insurance (IV) and health insurance companies. The bill can be paid through the supplementary insurance. The basic insurance can only be billed in the delegate relationship and only in the MediZentrum Ins.
