The psychiatric outpatient clinic of the PB at the Spitalzentrum Biel offers a wide and modern range of medical-psychiatric, psychotherapeutic and psychological services. Patients who come to the emergency with psychiatric problems find adequate and prompt outpatient treatment here.

A consultant and liaison psychiatric service, operated by PBB's specialist staff, is available for the emergency department as well as for patients of the Biel Hospital Center. A competent team of doctors, psychologists, social workers and nurses are available for this purpose. The interprofessional cooperation has a positive effect on the success of the treatment.

The Crisis Intervention Center Biel is managed in a consistently open manner and offers space for 20 patients over the age of 18. A competent team of experienced physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers and specialized therapists is on duty for the inpatient treatment, which usually lasts 7 days. The therapy is individually coordinated and consists of therapeutic doctor's visits, reference nursing discussions, counseling by the social service, painting-therapeutic promotion of personal abilities and possibilities for change, promotion of physical well-being through relaxation and movement therapy, as well as couple and family discussions.
